Album Description:

The motto of Kumu Kahua Theatre in Honolulu is "Plays about life in Hawaiʻi. Plays by Hawai'i's playwrights. Plays for Hawaiʻi's people." Many of the performances use themes and stories that are common to Hawai'i and Hawai'ian people, and the organization is known for using local actors — speaking in their natural dialect or ethnic accent — as well as local designers, and directors, and theater technicians. In Hawai'ian language, "kumu kahua" means "original stage."
